Buckle up, Amazing Race fans, because this recap of the November 5th, 2025, episode is packed with drama, challenges, and unexpected alliances!
This week's adventure in The Amazing Race 38 takes us to the captivating city of Bucharest, Romania. The teams, fresh from Croatia, are immediately thrown into the deep end with a skydiving challenge – talk about a high-stakes start!
The Flight Frenzy:
Several teams, including Tucker and Eric, Jas and Jag, Kyland and Taylor, and Joseph and Adam, manage to snag seats on the same flight. Natalie and Stephanie are left scrambling for tickets, and unfortunately, there aren't enough to go around. This leads to a somewhat awkward moment with Joseph and Adam, who, despite feeling bad, remind the ladies that this is a race! Their alliance is over. Meanwhile, Stephanie and Natalie end up on a different flight with Jack and Chelsie, and Izzy and Paige.
Skydiving and Sheep: A Challenge Combo!
Upon arrival, the skydiving challenge awaits. However, due to timing, the teams have to wait until the next morning to take the plunge. Once they get their clues, the teams head to a sheep farm. The teams must move five blue-marked sheep to the other side of the pen. Eric and Tucker maintain their lead, while Joseph and Adam are hot on their heels. Kyland and Taylor, and Jas and Jag have some hilarious moments, but soon they're working together to get the next clue.
Pontoon Boats and Detours:
The next task requires teams to build a pontoon boat to reach a clue in the water. Teams struggle to get their sheep into the pens. The teams must choose between the Brick Builder detour, which has them build ten perfect bricks, or the Mask Maker detour, where they replicate masks. Tucker and Eric choose the brick detour. Jack and Chelsie, along with Natalie and Stephanie, head to the pontoon build. Adam and Joseph struggle with their boat steering, but eventually, everyone completes the build and selects their detours.
The Race to the Finish:
Tucker and Eric complete their detour and head to the Pit Stop at Carol Park. Jas and Jag finish the detour in first try and check in second. Joseph and Adam also finish the detour in two attempts, as do Kyland and Taylor and Jack and Chelsie. It is a mad dash to the pit stop. Natalie and Stephanie struggle with the detour while Izzy and Paige finally finish theirs. The latter team heads to the pit stop. Natalie and Stephanie finally finish and bring up the rear to the pit stop.
The Results:
Tucker and Eric secure first place, winning a cool $5,000 each. Jas and Jag come in second and are reminded they must use the express pass by the eighth leg. Joseph and Adam, along with Kyland and Taylor, finish in third and fourth place, respectively. Jack and Chelsie take fifth, and Izzy and Paige secure sixth place. Sadly, Natalie and Stephanie are eliminated.
