Get ready for a wild ride, because Travis Pastrana's latest Gymkhana creation is here, and it's absolutely bonkers!
You might remember the Family Huckster, Pastrana's previous Gymkhana build, a Subaru GL with active aero that blew everyone away. Well, hold onto your hats, because the new Brataroo 9500 Turbo takes things to a whole new level of insanity.
This carbon-bodied Subaru Brat, with its 9,500 rpm engine, is a true beast. Built by the experts at Vermont SportsCar, it boasts an impressive 670 horsepower and 680 pound-feet of torque. The power is unleashed through a Sadev gearbox, ensuring all four wheels are ready for action.
But here's where it gets controversial... the engine details are shrouded in mystery. Is it a Subaru EJ or FA-based engine? We're not sure, but one thing's for certain: it's boosted to the max!
The custom-made carbon fiber body is a work of art, featuring active aero elements that give the Brataroo an edge. The front fenders with pivoting louvers control the front aero balance, while the fully adjustable rear wing provides two options: high downforce for maximum grip or a smaller wing for some serious tire-shredding fun.
Khyzyl Saleem, aka The Kyza, is the mastermind behind the widebody kit, ensuring every inch of this Brat is designed for maximum impact.
And this is the part most people miss... the interior is just as unique. A restored factory radio and HVAC stack have been repurposed to fit the Brataroo's needs. Now, the HVAC controls adjust the active aero, adding a whole new level of precision to the driving experience.
Pastrana himself describes it as "completely unhinged—in the best way possible." He goes on to say, "It's got the soul of a vintage Subaru with cutting-edge technology. Every part is built to endure, fly, and keep coming back for more. It's the craziest Gymkhana car we've ever built."
The new Gymkhana video, titled Aussie Shred, will premiere in December, and we can only imagine the mind-blowing stunts and daredevil driving it will feature.
